Dr. Louis A. Pahopos, DMD

Dr. Pahopos, a graduate of the University of Louisville (Kentucky) Dental School, offers patients a comprehensive background in dental medicine.  He grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and graduated from York High School. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at University of Louisville Dental School. Dr. Pahopos has been practicing dentistry for over twenty five years. He opened Elmhurst Family Dental in 1996. 

Dr. Pahopos has a passion for dentistry. He is constantly taking continuing education courses to provide his patients with the BEST dental care possible in the most gentle manner possible. He only uses the best quality materials and dental labs. His main goal as a dentist is to always provide exceptional patient-focused care so that their mouth stays healthy not only today, but for years to come.

Some of his hobbies include basketball, softball, golf and coaching his kids in a variety of sports.

Dr. Xheni Basko

DMD

Dr. Xheni Basko, DMD, is a board-certified dentist specializing in medical and cosmetic dentistry. She prioritizes patient collaboration, ensuring their concerns are addressed and expectations exceeded, while delivering high-quality care and education on oral health. 

Dr. Basko holds a BA in Biology from Northwestern University and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A lifelong science enthusiast, she published her first research paper at seventeen and has received multiple awards, including the “Golden Scaler Award” for excellence in Periodontics. She actively engages in dental organizations and values continuing education to stay updated on advancements in the field.

In her community, Dr. Basko volunteers to support underserved and disabled individuals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, sports, dancing, and nature. Her passion for art fuels her dedication to dentistry, blending her interests in art and science to enhance others' health and confidence.

She has over 25 years of experience in both Medical and Customer Service.

When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her Family and Friends, trying new restaurants and drinking her favorite coffee!

Lead Registered Dental Hygienist

Becky graduated dental hygiene from Fox College where she received the “Golden Scaler Award.” As a hygienist, she offers preventive and maintenance care, including thorough and gentle cleanings. She also provides a lot of patient education and encouragement.

She believes it is important that everyone understands why they should care about dental health and have the knowledge to improve their home care. 

When out of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Bianca graduated from the College of DuPage Dental Hygiene Program with a goal of educating her patients on the importance of oral health, allowing them to become more confident with their smiles. Bianca provides thorough and gentle cleanings and recommends methods of oral care her patients can implement in their daily lives.

She hopes to build strong relationships with her patients, leaving them excited and satisfied to be a part of the dental family.

Bianca enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, especially, her nieces and nephews.

Lead Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Jenny has devoted ten years to the dental field and joined EFD in 2018. She creates a supportive atmosphere, placing her patients' wellbeing as her top priority.
Her passion for her profession has driven her to improve her skills, obtaining certifications in coronal polishing, sealant application, and coronal scaling.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys doing arts and crafts with her daughter, going for runs, and capturing the beautiful sights of Chicago through photography.

Lourdes has been in the dental field for the past 23 years and has expertise across all areas of dentistry. She finds great motivation and purpose in helping make a difference in people's lives. She is very happy to assist and educate our patients along their dental treatment journey. Her experience, knowledge and skill level, when combined with her desire to help and serve others, make her the kind of Dental Assistant that we love to work with. 

When she's away from the office, she enjoys discovering new restaurants with her daughter. traveling and exploring new places, attending comedy shows, and horseback riding. These activities bring her joy, create unforgettable memories, and nurture her creativity and relationships.

She cherishes her free time with her husband and three children, making priceless memories together. Baking is another passion of hers, as she frequently spends her afternoons creating a variety of delightful goodies. Her love for music also leads her to enjoy different concerts.

Lissette joined the team in 2023 with 15 years of experience in the dental field. Lissette has a keen eye for the aesthetic side of dentistry. The patient experience is her priority, and she works hard to ensure they feel comfortable in our office. Lisette  enjoys helping our patients understand and implement their treatment plans. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her children and friends.

Samira's diverse skill set enables her to excel in a variety of roles, making her our office's jack of all trades. When she's not at the office, you can find Samira shopping or traveling the world.

After working as a dental assistant for four years, Debbie decided she wanted to have more of an impact on her patients. That’s when she enrolled to become a registered dental hygienist. Debbie graduated from University of Illinois.

She graduated with a mission of caring for her patients with the utmost respect, care and to provide the latest information.

Outside of the dental office, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Antoneta is a graduate from the dental hygiene program at College of DuPage. Antoneta is a very experienced hygienist and provides meticulous dental cleanings for all ages. She is full of tips on how to improve your at- home oral care. She loves children and enjoys introducing them to their first cleaning, so it is a fun experience.  

In her free time, she loves to travel, be with family, and dancing!

She is also a hygiene instructor at Northwestern College.
